Physiotherapy

Supporting your child's movement, strength, and physical confidence

What is Paediatric Physiotherapy?

Our physiotherapists help children develop the physical skills they need to move, play, and participate in everyday activities. We work on building strength, balance, coordination, and mobility through fun, age-appropriate activities that support your child's physical development and independence.

Our Physiotherapy team works across many areas:

Gross Motor Skills

Running, jumping, climbing, and coordination.

Balance & Posture

Core strength, stability, and postural control.

Mobility Support

Walking patterns, gait analysis, and assistive devices.

Strength Building

Muscle tone, endurance, and physical fitness.

Flexibility

Range of motion, stretching, and joint mobility.

Sports & Play Skills

Ball skills, playground participation, and active play.

You may consider a Physio assessment if your child:

Has delayed motor milestones (sitting, crawling, walking)

Appears clumsy or falls frequently

Has difficulty keeping up with peers in physical activities

Walks on their toes or has an unusual gait pattern

Has low muscle tone or seems fatigued easily

Struggles with coordination (catching, throwing, kicking)

Has difficulty with balance or postural control

Avoids physical activities or playground play
