Occupational Therapy

Helping your child build the skills for everyday independence and confidence

What is Occupational Therapy?

At our centre, our paediatric occupational therapists help children build the foundational skills they need for everyday life from learning and playing to taking care of themselves and participating in school. Using play-based and meaningful activities, we support children in developing confidence, independence, and the ability to thrive in their daily routines.

Our OT team works across many domains:

Fine Motor Skills

Writing, cutting, manipulating small objects.

Sensory Processing

Sensory processing and modulation support.

Executive Functioning

Organisation, attention, and planning skills.

Self-Care Skills

Dressing, feeding, and toileting independence.

Emotional Regulation

Managing feelings and building resilience.

Gross Motor Coordination

Balance, posture, and body awareness.

You may consider an OT assessment if your child

Is overly sensitive or under-responsive to sensory input

Has trouble with balance, coordination, or motor planning

Finds it hard to focus or sit still in class
