What is Speech and Language Therapy?
Our speech and language therapists work with children to develop their communication skills — from first words to complex conversations. We address challenges in speech sounds, language comprehension, expressive language, fluency, and social communication, using fun and engaging activities tailored to each child's needs.
Our Speech team works across many areas:
Speech Sounds
Articulation, phonology, and speech clarity.
Language Development
Vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure.
Social Communication
Conversation skills, pragmatics, and social cues.
Fluency
Stuttering and fluency management strategies.
Feeding & Swallowing
Oral motor skills and safe eating support.
Literacy Skills
Reading readiness, phonics awareness, and comprehension.
You may consider a Speech assessment if your child:
Is difficult to understand when speaking
Has a limited vocabulary for their age
Struggles to follow directions or answer questions
Has difficulty putting words together into sentences
Avoids social interactions or has trouble making friends
Stutters or has difficulty with fluency
Has trouble with reading or spelling
Shows frustration when trying to communicate

Feeding Sessions
This 1-to-1 feeding therapy supports children who experience challenges with eating, food variety, or sensory sensitivities. Led by an Occupational Therapist, sessions use guided exposure and sensory-based strategies to help children gradually build comfort with different foods and textures.
Each session is tailored to the child’s needs, focusing on developing positive mealtime habits, improving sensory processing, and supporting independence during feeding.
